Simon Mackie was just passing the 10 year mark at BBC, and he decided to get the old BBC Science and Nature folks together. Great evening. We shared some old tales, and talked a little about what’s been happening since.
A new opportunity has arisen, and the BBC News Labs Team decided to look into it. The question posed was “How might we contextualise the Education Curriculum with News and Current Affairs?”
Wendy has recently started a new business – “Story Boat” – that provides Performance Storytelling sessions for schools, Storytelling for adults, and Storytelling Workshops. She has just given the first sessions, which have gone down very well.
I must recommend Kenwood House in North London – a wonderful place to spend an afternoon relaxing.
Had a great night at The Proms with Wend. The Royal Albert Hall is amazing – haven’t been there in a while.
Great rehearsal today. Another new tune. Another set of jokes and laughs about our accelerating decrepitude.
Yesterday we all went to Moira Magnus’ wake. Moira would have been proud – everyone was making the most of life and enjoying good company.
I met up with The Dees fellas last night in Borough Market. We’re planning to record a new EP in Feb 2014 with Niall Acott (NJA Audio). Looking forward to it, but wondering what drums I will use.

Great evening – steak dinner for Valentines – cooked by me. This has become a ritual 🙂
Great memories of a raucous gig at The Garage. We had a full compliment of backing vocals, from the amazing Rachel & Sarah.
Took a few pics in The City to go with some promotional gig material.
What a night – hot, packed, and everyone out on the street. Glorious night at DreamBagsJaguarShoes – thanks Nik!
Some shots taken in Travellers Friend – a pub in Woodford – on New Year’s Day in 2002.
We had the privilege of recording a whole album with Niall Acott at Angel Studios. All Live, no clicks, and just a smidgen of me screaming (unknowingly) whilst recording my drum parts. Recorded in 2 days – 17th & 18th September. Mixed and produced by the fantastic Niall Acott over the following weeks.
