Meet for drinks with The Dees
I met up with The Dees fellas last night in Borough Market. We’re planning to record a new EP in Feb 2014 with Niall Acott (NJA Audio). Looking forward to it, but wondering what drums I will use.

Had our first rehearsal with THE KRILL (London’s premier Surf Rock Band) at London’s The Joint rehearsal studios. Great stuff. Also see The Krill (Surf Rock Band in London) Twitter Account here for updates.
Niall Acott’s studio in Maidstone – NJA.me.uk – Great for all kinds of music and production projects. Niall can do “in studio” or “OB”, whatever you need. Just this last weekend we did some work at NJA.me.uk – Electric Drums, sequencing, accoustic & electric guitars, vox and keybdoards. Great.
This was one of The Dees’ last gigs before activities petered-out in 2007 ish.
Retrospective post. The Dees rehearsing in The Premises rehearsal studio, back in 2006.
We’ve just been in Studio with Niall Acott to some tunes for The Dees. This time it’s a 4 track EP, and a little rockier.
The Flyer from The Dees’ gig at The Water Rats Theatre on Friday 24th September 2004. More pics and information to follow when as I discover stuff…
The Showcase for The Dees, The Album, in July 2004 at the Union Chapel in Islington, London. Right near Highbury Corner. The Dees – inaugural album “2004” The Showcase in 2004 Photographs by Conal Jones. Sound by Niall Acott. Lights and drama by Dan’s mates, including Andy Audsley.
The Dees are in Studio, at Angel Studios in Islington, London.
Yesterday marked another great evening at The 100 Club with King Pleasure playing.
Great memories of a raucous gig at The Garage. We had a full compliment of backing vocals, from the amazing Rachel & Sarah.
Last night we went to another great King Pleasure gig at 100 Club.
Last night – another great gig from Ray Gellato at The 100 Club.
Just had a short jaunt to Berlin to see The Foo Fighters, with Andy & Ian. Andy did not bring a jacket, and got sick,… even though he repeatedly stressed that “you don’t get ill from being cold”. He did.
For a short while in 1997, we were known as “Borissey Mould“. This was directly after we had found that there were too many bands called “FLUX” playing, in LONDON.
Another very sparcely attended gig. At the relatively new PowerHaus in Finsbury Park. The sound was AWFUL. They should have kept the PowerHaus on Liverpool Road in N1!!
We had the privilege of recording a whole album with Niall Acott at Angel Studios. All Live, no clicks, and just a smidgen of me screaming (unknowingly) whilst recording my drum parts. Recorded in 2 days – 17th & 18th September. Mixed and produced by the fantastic Niall Acott over the following weeks.
