Yesterday saw a great creative event in Shoreditch, put on by the Connected Studio team. I did some MC’ing to help out, and the brief included the context of the News Storyline data model.
Following the News Archive briefing in London yesterday, we ran the briefing in Belfast today. ~10 Indies from the Belfast area attended, to look at the scope and context for the News Archive Connected Studio process which is kicking off. Following #newsHACK on October 17th, Ceclia and Fielding from The Guardian office in New York, popped into BBC News Labs to have a chat about collaboration in the future.

The team took some time out at the end of a hard day, at The Bree Louise, to further discuss the News Storyline Ontology, and how we might use complex Storylines at #newsHACK.
Very pleased that Jeremy Tarling and partners published the News Storyline Ontology today. This is looking favourable as the cornerstone of BBC News’ future curation data structure. This has been some great work, coming out of News Labs’ “PR & Outreach” workstream.
