We took a family adventure to Colombia, to join Wendy on a Storytelling tour in Colombia and Ecuador. This was a working trip – I had plenty of innovation projects to work on at the same time.

What a great place – Edinburgh! We accidentally planned our trip during the Rugby World Cup. The locals warned us that the place went mad and that everywhere got rammed….
We spent a December evening with some of the old (1990s) Woodford/Loughton/Chingford bunch, at SushiSamba. Same bunch that went to Hereford.

17 of us piled into a massive, Adams Family -esque house near Hereford. BBQs, card games, swimming,… perfect.
An amazing holiday with Ian and Anita in Mosciano Sant’Angelo on the Adriatic coast – coffee and evening parties all the way!!
With the sun shining and some Jazz from Esquire Swing, we all met up at Belgique for Fathers Day.
This is what British summers are all about – festivals with Storytelling, people on stilts, arts & crafts, real ale, barbecues, and bumping into old friends.
We just took a nice Easter Break in Paris, staying on La rue de La Michodière – une voie du 2 arrondissement de Paris – just opposite Theatre de la Michodiere.
Great gathering this year – Amy, Evelio, Russel, Susan, Alexander are all over in London for Christmas,… plus Virginia & Glenny, Ed & Rumbie, Lori & Fred, and Wendy & I; lots of plans and lots of celebration.
Sometimes it’s nice to pretend like it was 10 years ago, before the brood, before the busy busy. We had a great night out.
Wendy has recently started a new business – “Story Boat” – that provides Performance Storytelling sessions for schools, Storytelling for adults, and Storytelling Workshops. She has just given the first sessions, which have gone down very well.
I must recommend Kenwood House in North London – a wonderful place to spend an afternoon relaxing.
We just had an amazing trip to Disneyland Paris – great stuff. Here are some thoughts that other parents may find of interest: our own top 5 best and 5 worst things.
Had a great night at The Proms with Wend. The Royal Albert Hall is amazing – haven’t been there in a while.
Wendy read out one of her short stories at Karamel tonight for a Haringey Literature Live event – she had the place riveted. It was part of a theme “midsummer mayhem, heat and summer madness”.
Had a great day with Mel & Steve at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup. Amazing stuff in this brilliant, configurable white water slalom course.
Great trip visiting Henry & Mish in Dubai. Saw all the sights, and spent plenty of quality time catching up.
Wendy and I just had an amazing break to the Highlands, taking the overnight train from Euston. Definitely recommend it.
