Christmas catch up with the Essex Hereford Mob
We spent a December evening with some of the old (1990s) Woodford/Loughton/Chingford bunch, at SushiSamba. Same bunch that went to Hereford.

From a cold and wintry London, some business at Google brought me to San Francisco, and I was able to catch up with Amy, Russ, Susan & family.
We conspired -upon, and miraculously delivered, a reunion for 8 of us (out of 11) in Oundle – our “Almost 25th Anniversary Reunion.”
Hello world!
In the run-up to brother Ed’s wedding, we got together in Alexandra Palace for an ice cream, chat and to play “Shuffle up some Shearers, then guess which one is which from the back.”
17 of us piled into a massive, Adams Family -esque house near Hereford. BBQs, card games, swimming,… perfect.
An amazing holiday with Ian and Anita in Mosciano Sant’Angelo on the Adriatic coast – coffee and evening parties all the way!!
Big, big afternoon and night last night. Massive. And, really a great social occasion.
With the sun shining and some Jazz from Esquire Swing, we all met up at Belgique for Fathers Day.
12 Years after my original trip to Barcelona (with Ed), Russ sent a note; “I’m going to SETAC. Anyone fancy joining me in Barcelona?”… Ed & I managed to swing it.
We spent a great morning with Dad, at the Lea Rowing Club 2015 Regatta; boats, cakes, coffee, sandwiches, and REAL ROWING RACES.
Wonderful spring visit to Mum & Dad’s, with the sun out and the garden in full bloom. Coffees, chats, and some painting of the cupboards.
Great gathering this year – Amy, Evelio, Russel, Susan, Alexander are all over in London for Christmas,… plus Virginia & Glenny, Ed & Rumbie, Lori & Fred, and Wendy & I; lots of plans and lots of celebration.
A few of us met up at Spivs, including Jim & Ian.
Nice night out with the chaps from Loughton (Adam Drake), Buckhurst Hill (Steve Andrews), Theydon (Andy Matthews), and those who used to be in Woodford (Jim, Ian and I).
We are officially part-way into our 11 tracks of a new album for The Dees. So it seemed right to meet up and discuss strategy.
Had a great night at Dreambags and in Hoxton. Was planning to meet with Andy Matthews too, but he got stuck at work.
Simon Mackie was just passing the 10 year mark at BBC, and he decided to get the old BBC Science and Nature folks together. Great evening. We shared some old tales, and talked a little about what’s been happening since.
Just met with my old primary school buddies James Magnus and Ian Guest. We spent an evening reminiscing, about Moira and many many others.
Yesterday we all went to Moira Magnus’ wake. Moira would have been proud – everyone was making the most of life and enjoying good company.
