This year, we held our News Labs’ Christmas/Festive Asynchronous Workshop at The Queens Head on Acton Street in London. We also had a Jazz Band playing.
Nice night out with the chaps from Loughton (Adam Drake), Buckhurst Hill (Steve Andrews), Theydon (Andy Matthews), and those who used to be in Woodford (Jim, Ian and I).
We are officially part-way into our 11 tracks of a new album for The Dees. So it seemed right to meet up and discuss strategy.
Simon Mackie was just passing the 10 year mark at BBC, and he decided to get the old BBC Science and Nature folks together. Great evening. We shared some old tales, and talked a little about what’s been happening since.
A new opportunity has arisen, and the BBC News Labs Team decided to look into it. The question posed was “How might we contextualise the Education Curriculum with News and Current Affairs?”
Yesterday we all went to Moira Magnus’ wake. Moira would have been proud – everyone was making the most of life and enjoying good company.
Yesterday we all went to Jenny Guest’s wake. Everyone was there, and after the service we all went out to remember her.
