From a cold and wintry London, some business at Google brought me to San Francisco, and I was able to catch up with Amy, Russ, Susan & family.
We conspired -upon, and miraculously delivered, a reunion for 8 of us (out of 11) in Oundle – our “Almost 25th Anniversary Reunion.”
An interesting 2 day innovation workshop in Berlin, at MIZ Babelsberg, to look at some innovation opportunities with the German public broadcaster ZDF.

In the run-up to brother Ed’s wedding, we got together in Alexandra Palace for an ice cream, chat and to play “Shuffle up some Shearers, then guess which one is which from the back.”
Great gig from BJRP – the Bon Jovi Response Plan* – at Ryan’s Bar in Stoke Newington.
17 of us piled into a massive, Adams Family -esque house near Hereford. BBQs, card games, swimming,… perfect.
An amazing holiday with Ian and Anita in Mosciano Sant’Angelo on the Adriatic coast – coffee and evening parties all the way!!
Big, big afternoon and night last night. Massive. And, really a great social occasion.

I’ve just spent the last 2 days with a group of European Public Service Broadcasters from Turkey, Sweden, Slovenia, France, Germany, Bulgaria and more.
We’ve just held #newsHACK in London, in partnership with Global Editors Network, and including an impressive spread of News organisations.
Just spent an enjoyable, and mentally draining unconference weekend with 150 of the great and the good from European Journalism @NEWSGEIST 2015 in Helsinki.
After a quick chat with Miranda McLachlan at HacksHackersLondon, she kindly invited me in to visit the University, and to meet her MA class in computational journalism.
This is what British summers are all about – festivals with Storytelling, people on stilts, arts & crafts, real ale, barbecues, and bumping into old friends.
12 Years after my original trip to Barcelona (with Ed), Russ sent a note; “I’m going to SETAC. Anyone fancy joining me in Barcelona?”… Ed & I managed to swing it.
We spent a great morning with Dad, at the Lea Rowing Club 2015 Regatta; boats, cakes, coffee, sandwiches, and REAL ROWING RACES.
Wonderful spring visit to Mum & Dad’s, with the sun out and the garden in full bloom. Coffees, chats, and some painting of the cupboards.
In Matt Farrar’s absence, I stood in on drums for a BJRP Rehearsal. Great fun – ups and downs, light and shade, and some forgetting of the tunes 🙂
