Today, slightly eclipsed by the start of the 2012 Olympic Games, we completed the first of our BBC News Labs “Summer Labs”. This Lab was on the exploration of a “Geolocation” problem space. We saw 4 great demos coming out of the 2 week Hack event.
We are very pleased to introduce “THE NEWS JUICER”. This is the Semantic Prototyping Platform for BBC News Labs, which will provide real semantic data sources and APIs for the BBC News Labs “Summer Labs” between now and end of September 2012.
Today we started BBC News Labs – a small group of us from BBC News working to innovate and open new opportunities for BBC News.
